Meet your NDIS Support Coordinators
Helping you to live your best life
My role is to be there for each and every one of my participants – to support and provide them with the tools, resources and providers they need to ensure that they can be living their best life.
I take pride in knowing that the support I give is tailored to each individual participant.
Seeing you succeed
The best part of being a support coordinator is seeing my participants succeed. This includes working towards their goals, learning how to advocate for themselves and seeing that proud smile on their face.
Giving you choice and control
I strive to ensure that every participant knows and implement the choice and control they have and want.
Supporting you to meet your goals
I am passionate about supporting people to meet their goals and to build their capacity and independence to do things they enjoy, without the barriers that they can often experience.
It is rewarding to see people grow and be able to do things independently, which they weren’t able to do before or they did with great difficulty.
Advocating on your behalf
In my role, I support people living with disability or mental health to access mainstream supports and advocate in areas where they are not able to independently. This may include support to liaise with NDIS in regards to their funding or to help participants build their capacity and to meet their goals.
Everyone is different
What I love about support coordination is the different people you get to meet. Every experience is different – there is no set way on how to do things as my approach varies in order to meet the needs of each participant.
Everyone is capable
I believe that every individual is capable of so much and deserves the opportunity to pursue the things that will bring them joy and happiness. I am passionate about supporting individuals living with psycho-social challenges and the LGBTQIA+ community. I enjoy watching and supporting people achieve their goals and build their skills.
The right fit
In my role I support individuals to connect with programs and services that will empower them and give them choice and control over their lives. I help people access services and supports where they are struggling and help them to assess their options to make sure that they are getting the right fit for them.
I love to meet people and have that face-to-face interaction with individuals. I have always found that creating and nurturing personal and professional connections are the foundations of a holistic experience.
What can your NDIS Support Coordinator help with?
At Accept Care, we take our Support Coordinator responsibilities very seriously. We want to give Participants and their families the support and resources they need to assist in building individual capacity to live independently and continue doing the activities they enjoy.
We then help you to idenitfy the best support providers, within Accept Care or externally, and monitor the delivery of the services you receive to ensure that they remain within the budget and fulfil your goals.
Managing service providers
We are here to complete referrals for services, arrange initial service bookings, negotiate and support you to resolve any problems as they arise.
Preparing for your review
Before your NDIS review, we will work directly with you to review and ensure that your NDIS plan continues to meet your needs.
If you are not receiving sufficient funding, we will support you to obtain the necessary reports and submit these as evidence to NDIS to ensure that you receive enough funds to receive the full array of services you need to live comfortably and independently.
