Allied Health Services

Helping you feel better

At Accept Care, our allied health department currently offers comprehensive physiotherapy, occupational therapy, fitness and counselling and therapeutic services. Our private, disability and aged care allied health services can help you maintain optimal health and wellbeing, support you to continue living independently in your own home, and help make those difficult activities easier to do.

Our physiotherapy services help you to improve or maintain your movement and mobility so you can participate in the activities that are important to you. Whether you are having trouble with recreational activities, looking after your house and garden, or having trouble with participating in work or school, our physiotherapists can help you work back towards doing these more easily.

Our physiotherapists will help you by using a range of treatments such as exercise, massage, and joint mobilisation in order to reduce your pain, improve your strength and balance, and improve your flexibility and mobility, and decrease your risk of falls.

Our Allied health team also has a fitness professional who can help you to improve all facets of your fitness through individual sessions in the comfort of your own home or in our gentle exercise groups.

Whether you need to improve your strength, balance, flexibility or endurance, our fitness professional will personally guide you through an exercise program that is individualised to your needs.

Welcoming all clients

Our private, disability and aged care allied health services are available to NDIS participants, HCP clients and fee for service (private) clients.

Costs vary depending on the support provided through your government program. For private paying clients, you may be able to claim costs back through your private health fund.

Occupational Therapy

Many people have trouble with activities that are important to them due to medical conditions, disabilities, or simply through ageing.  Our occupational therapists provide a range of services that help you overcome some of these challenges.

Our occupational therapists can help you through finding the right equipment for you, organising for modifications of your home, or through providing advice on how to make every day activities easier.

Our counselling and therapeutic services are designed to assist you with a range of challenges such as stress and anxiety, grief and loss, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions. Our team can provide a holistic approach to promote good health and wellbeing, integrating a range of approaches to help meet your unique needs.

As the only NDIS provider in South Australia providing Virtual Reality (VR) Exposure Therapy, our counsellors use an integrated therapy approach that incorporates various evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

Kevin has worked as a physiotherapist since 1997 and has extensive experience working in aged care and disability services.  He believes that one of the most important parts of physiotherapy treatment is for you to have a choice of what physiotherapy care you receive.  Whether it is exercises, hands-on therapy, or equipment, Kevin will provide you with a range of options that will help you that you can choose from.

While he gains great satisfaction in seeing the improvement in his clients’ ability to move and reduction in pain, what he loves most about his job is the relationships that he develops with his clients.
